Embassy of India Warsaw Announcement Following up on Prime Minister’s recent announcement regarding amendment to the Person of Indian Origin(PIO card) Scheme, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has issued a notification No.25024/9/2014-F.I. dated 30 September, 2014, which states: All PIO cards, including those issued before September 30, 2014, shall be valid for life time of its holder subject to the condition that such person has a valid passport. The PIO card holders are also exempted from reporting to the FRRO/Police authorities, if their stay in India exceeds 180 days. 7th October, 2014
