The wind and wind gusts threaten the safety of line workers attempting to work on lines from a bucket extended into the air. We are addressing emergency situations as they arise, and have crews in place throughout the region for general restoration when the wind lets up. National weather service is predicting high winds through the night. We are pleased to report that even with the high winds, we have experienced few outages so far. But whatever the day brings, we have crews deployed, ready to respond. Customers are encouraged to report outages by calling 1-855-363-7211 and to be specific about emergency situations. Travel conditions remain hazardous. Customers are encouraged to stay safe and check on any neighbors who may need assistance. Anyone traveling near working utility crews is reminded to allow plenty of space around the vehicle and stay clear of the work zones to avoid safety risks. Customers can assist with restoration efforts by ensuring driveways and side roads are plowed and accessible for our crews. External contractors on standby and are ready to be brought in as conditions warrant. The Customer Service Center is staffed with extra workers to handle customer calls as efficiently as possible.
