Emergency Warning Issued For: Gypsum, Pier Milan, Tempy Fire Origin: 12 KM SOUTH WEST OF OUYEN Issued: 6:30pm on 17/1/14 ... This is an Emergency Warning issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Gypsum, Pier Milan, Tempy. There is a fast moving, out of control bushfire travelling in a south easterly direction from Bronzewing Flora and Fauna Reserve towards Tempy. This message also applies to Pirro Road, Vallance Road, Little Road and Rownack Road. Gypsum, Tempy and Pier Milan could be impacted anytime within the next 2 hours. Leaving now is the safest option, before conditions become too dangerous. Emergency Services may not be able to help if you decide to stay. Travel to; - Relief Centres at the Ouyen Service Centre and Beulah Recreation Reserve will be open from 4pm today. - The home of family or friends that is away from the warning area. The Sunraysia Highway between the Calder Highway intersection and Speed is closed. An alternative route is required if travelling to the Ouyen Relief Centre.
