Emily Berry and Lindsey Bjorgo challenged me to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Im not going to do it because I think at this point it isnt raising awareness, but is annoying people (If it were the ALS Beer Chugging Challenge, wed have a different story). Instead, Ill donate to the cause, and do my best to enlighten anyone who has done the challenge, or avoided the challenge, but still doesnt know what its about. It was all started to support a charity, Team FrateTrain, which was started by a young man named Pete Frate who was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 27. He was a baseball player and is soon expecting to be a dad. Go like his page, donate to what hes trying to accomplish. Heres a 7-minute video about him. I challenge everyone to watch it, research ALS, research any other illnesses and diseases you deem worthy and donate to them. To learn more about ALS specifically, check out alsa.org.
