Emily Lickinson update! She is taking such great care of her five little male kittens. It’s time to name them! We definitely have a Rudyard Kitten and a Catticus Finch in the litter. Can you think of literary names for the other three? Emily is eating like a champ and the kittens nurse frequently. Their eyes have started to open and they pull themselves around looking for mom when she leaves to eat or use the litter box. It’s still very clean in their sleeping box—Emily will take care to keep it that way until the kittens are old enough to use a litter box. The kittens are getting used to being handled by humans. Emily likes at least one of her kittens to stay in the sleeping box. If everyone is out visiting she will grab one of her kittens by the scruff of his neck and carry him home. Pictures attached of the kittens at 8 days old and 10 days old when their eyes are starting to open. Check in next Friday to learn their names and get other updates from their foster family!
