Emilys Lucky Escape It was around midnight when I was woken from my deep sleep by horrific screams coming from my little sister Emilys room. It sounded like something out of a horror movie. I was terrified, I quickly jumped out of bed to go and investigate what was going on. When I got there I found that Emilys bedroom door was wide open. Her bed empty. And The window had been smashed, I frantically searched the whole house. But Emily, was nowhere to be found. I quickly ran to Nana, who was still half asleep, and told her what had happened, She immediately phoned the police then my parents. They spoke to me and I was crying uncontrollably, cuddling Emilys newly adopted golden colored Labrador puppy, Buddy. They told me to calm down, and everything would be okay and that they would catch the very next flight home, from New York. When the police arrived they asked me a whole bunch of questions and they also had dogs walking around the property and neighborhood in search of Emily. But they could find no trace of her. They cordoned off the house with a long line of police tape, as the house was now a possible crime scene. I explained to the police that she enjoys playing jokes and stuff, but she had never gone to such drastic measures to scare me. Inspector Nathan Hayes took me with him to search Emilys room one more time, when out of the corner of my eye I saw something sticking out from under her bed. It was a letter addressed to my parents. Inspector Hayes and I opened it together and when I read it I couldnt help but scream out in terror, They have Emily! They have Emily. All the officers in the house ran to the bedroom as Hayes read the letter out aloud. We have Emily and if you ever want to see her again we want $100,000 in straight cash. You will receive a phone call around mid day tomorrow with more information. Dont even think about involving anyone, especially the cops, or you will never see Emily alive again.
