Emma Watson (Hermione of Harry Potter fame) gives a beautiful and inspiring speech - at the U.N. no less! - in which she declares that the fight for womens rights is important, but it must stop being the vehicle for man-hating: I was appointed Goodwill Ambassador for U.N. Women six months ago, and the more Ive spoken about feminism, the more I have realized that fighting for womens rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating. If there is one I know for certain, it is that this…has…to stop… How can we affect change in the world when only half of it is invited, or feel welcomed, to participate in the conversation?
