Emmaus House works to empower people to move beyond poverty. One of our key programs is called A Great Start. A Great Start is an eight-week series of classes for parents & caregivers of children prenatal to five years old. Instilling good parenting skills early in a child’s life significantly improves outcomes for the remainder of this child’s & her siblings’ lives. In addition to instruction in best practices, participants receive dinner, childcare, & helpful gifts.
