Emmy award winning producer/director Joanne Fish and her film crew will be at the club tonight to film a Kim Massie performance for her upcoming project.. Joanne is the lead producer and director on “Mr. Handy’s Blues: A Musical Documentary” the story of The Father of the Blues. Handy is credited with transforming African-American folk music that was handed down only through oral tradition into a purely American genre of music. He also lived in St. Louis near the turn of the century and penned the song St. Louis Blues We just might hear Kim Massie do a version of that tonight ! Join us !
