Emotional day today... As soon as my alarm clock went off this morning, I was wide awake and my heart was racing 90 to nothing. I just laid in bed thinking I cant do this... I will not go to the St. Jude Give Thanks walk. So many emotions going through me since Bree was suppose to be home to walk it this year. I worked so hard at such a short notice to sale shirts, get a huge team and raise money for St. Jude just for this walk.... Still I didnt have to go, I didnt owe anyone anything. All I want right now is my Bree and unfortunately I cant have that. I did somehow make it to the walk, I did it only for Bree. This year out of all the walks across the US our walk in Baton Rouge, LA had the biggest turnout and raised $455,964 Cheering For Breanna raised $24,365 for this walk in only 3 1/2 weeks. We had so many teams in Baton Rouge, they recognized the top 8 teams who raised the most money... Proud to say we were #5! The support we had at the walk was amazing... Thank you all so much for coming and to who helped by donating and buying shirts to make this possible. Bree thanks each and everyone of you too... I know she is so proud. I didnt know the walk judged teams for best tshirt design... Well guess who won out of all the teams??? Yep!! Cheering For Breanna won it!! Why did I want to give thanks when Bree isnt here? So many families were out there celebrating their survivor stories and here I am celebrating and honoring my child who is not here. Im not going to lie it hurt bad... Really bad. As happy as I am to see these innocent children survive childhood cancer all I could think about is why not my Bree? I want to be that Mom sharing my childs survivor story. I busted my butt to raise money for this walk and shes gone... but I am thankful for St. Jude. Thankful for the doctors, nurses, target house staff, PCAs, teacher, new families and friends that all love Breanna so much. She touched everyone in the hospital sooooo...I did this walk for you baby girl... I love you Breanna Lyn
