Paraprofessional experience in teaching people with disabilities, vocational, prevocational, communications, mobility, daily living skills or related activities will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Duties: Performs beginning professional level teaching functions in a facility. Participates in developing the curriculum for the vocational program. Provides classroom instructions and vocational activities. Completes vocational assessments. Works with industrial trades teacher and professional staff in developing an individual vocational plan for each youth. Evaluates youth progress and maintains records. Attends all treatment team meetings to report youth progress. Acquires and maintains equipment utilized in classes. Ensures that work areas are maintained with safety, security and cleanliness. Maintains tool and chemical inventory. Attends staff meetings and trainings as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
