Must have four years of experience in the maintenance and/or repair of air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation or electrical systems. Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis. Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis. Duties: Performs, assigns and supervises residents and other staff in duties related to the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Supervises juveniles and oversees other staff and assigns work in the maintenance/operation/repair of electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems. Supervises/inspects the quality of work. Performs maintenance on and in buildings, mechanical equipment and grounds. Duties range from simple to complex repairs. Consults with contractors and vendors regarding installation and repair of equipment and systems. Interprets rules, regulations and policies. Operates, maintains and repairs equipment and tools. Maintains records, tools, and materials. Attends meetings and trainings as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
