POLICE RECORDS TECHNICIAN The City of Martinsville is seeking an individual with excellent customer service, multi-tasking & prioritization skills to perform a variety of advanced work providing important clerical & file maintenance of court records in the Records & Services Unit of the Police Dept. Work involves responsibility for typing, recording & filing forms, reports & correspondence in an accurate & timely manner & may include: receiving, recording, & filing the court disposition onto an arrestees record; or maintenance of filing systems for case folders, including filing, typing, and/or mailing a variety of materials relating to transcripts, maintaining habitual offender files in the computer, & preparation of materials to be used in court cases. High school/GED is required, with a minimum of four years responsible office experience or equivalent training, preferably supplemented by related college courses in business administration, computer software or secretarial science.
