Employment opportunity A local company representing a global business in Industry is looking to employ a service technician to call on customers around Botswana for after sales site support. The following are the minimum requirements: Education: National Diploma Knowledge/Languages: 1. Effective communication skills 2. Large Drives: AC & DC variable speed drive knowledge and applications. 3. Knowledge of automation processes and systems is an advantage 4. Knowledge of LV and MV switchgear is an advantage. 5. Commissioning, breakdown service, repairs, retrofit upgrades of VSDs. 6. Engineering judgment and application, system engineering and detailed principles to conduct upgrades and retrofit solutions. 7. Contractual, statutory and safety regulations which include OHASA & ISO 9000, 1400, 18000. 8. Process knowledge and PI is an advantage Experience: 1. > 5 years: Good engineering judgment in ranges of products and systems: variable speed drives (advantage if experience extends to automation and switch gear). Extensive field service such as commissioning, breakdown, fault finding and repairs. 2. > 5 years: effective communication skills developed through interaction with customers 3. > 5 years: Project execution from engineering stage to handover with particular focus on commissioning execution and co-ordination leading small sized service projects, upgrades and retrofits. 4. >5 years: Experience in processes and procedures relevant to field service. 5. >5 years: working under pressure Capabilities: Customer Orientation Business Results Orientation Value Orientation Intercultural Sensitivity Please respond by e-mailing your CV to [email protected] by the closing date of 11 April 2014.
