Empowering disABILITIES Scholarship The 2013 Committee for the Empowering disABILITIES Resource Expo is happy to announce the opportunity for a Scholarship that will benefit High School Seniors in our surrounding area. Please complete the attached application with your essay submission. All materials must be received no later than Wednesday September 11, 2013. The winner of the scholarship will be announced during the 2013 Empowering disABILITIES Resource Expo which will be held on October 2, 2013 at Sauk Valley Community College. Requirements: • Must be a high school Senior during the 2013-2014 school year. • Must intend to enroll in community college, university, or trade school for the 2014-2015 school year. • Must be a student with a disability. • Must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher Essay Instructions: In a typed format of 500 words or less please tell us the following: What does Empowerment mean to you?
