En route to New Mexico to be eyes/ears for mom post-surgery. Grateful I took time between old and new jobs. I start the new job 1/12 and Im hoping and praying mom is back in intensive rehab (preferably at St. Vincents in Santa Fe, close to Moms family and friends) by the time I step onto SSU as the new dean of the library. Everything else can wait--road trips, doctoral work, ikea assembly, getting the bookcases just right. It will all happen. Well, I do need to hem new work slacks--the first time in my life I will outsource that job!
