Endeavor 278-645 (139+63) Put another nickel in, in the Knickelodeon. All I want is music, music, music. Before the word represented a kids TV channel on cable, knickelodeon was known as a coin operated player piano. Please dont make me feel old and ask what a nickel is. Music has always been a big part of my life similar to how people are very big fans of science fiction, the Beatles or baseball card collecting. I was in chorus from third grade on up to my senior year of high school. Had I kept up with my clarinet lessons, I could have also been in our school band. I learned to play the piano in my 30s and even performed on stage in my late twenties with singing and dancing. I grew up a little on the music of the 70s and paid more attention to the artists of the 80s and 90s. My mother pushed classical music and mostly on weekend mornings just to get us up and out of bed. It was either that or she would run the vaccuum cleaner (after strategically opening up the bedroom doors). Yeah, she KNEW what she was doing. Later, I would realize that even Warner Brothers cartoons had woven classical music into our cherished cartoons. These days, I am exposed to a lot of the new musicians for the younger generations that come after mine. I like it. Most times, I can hear a piece of music and know who the artist is whether it is Bruno Mars, One Repubic, American Authors or Katie Perry. I still do okay with recognizing the Doors or America, Lynyrd Skynyrd and yes, even Tony Bennett, Perry Como and Tom Jones. The last three are known to me as other than my mother, my wonderful Aunt Jan Jan was a big lover of music. She had a lot of music albums and always listened to her records more than watching television. I used to love her being goofy and dancing away when I would visit her at her house. I can listen to most music and it always provokes a memory that takes me back to another time or puts a smile on my face or even make me cringe from a not so pleasant memory. Its all good though. As much as some memories can be too painful, there are many more that can be fantastic reminders of a life lived and knowing that I am still here. I loved going to music concerts in my younger years and there are some artists that I would go and see anytime that they were playing within a driveable distance. Today, I am including a music video to share with all of you. It is a video where the past and the present meet and hey, should I say, make beautiful music together. I share it with all of you as each one of you have made a difference in my life. You make my life enriched. You make me feel a part of something special. So this video is for you that has originated by a band that I grew up on and never hesitated to see them in concert every single time. Take the time to listen to it. Listen without distractions and without other music or television noise to distract. Let it fill your ears and amaze your eyes. Let it take you back to another time. Let it all sink in. From me to you, enjoy. Be happy. youtu.be/XqLTe8h0-jo
