Ended run in the round of 16 on a close 2-1 decision. Great debate with Kstate. Alex Velto is a great debate partner and truly excellent friend. Debating with someone who has your back, refuses to blame you for losses, and generally cares about your well being is really why I love this activity. The UNLV squad is an amazing group of people who are all supportive and caring. The real MVPs arent whichever of our many exceptional teams happen to make it to outrounds, its the one of those same exceptional teams that might not have broken at that specific tournament who sacrifice sleep and stay up late cutting cards so you can be well rested, the ones who watch the debate because the support really matters, the ones who are the first ones to tell you how great of a tournament when you are feeling down about being eliminated. Its also the three dedicated coaches we have who hardline defend you, constantly get you pumped, provide the support you need, and make sure that no matter what happened in certain rounds or tournaments, you have the tools and skills to become a better person, not just debater. So thanks for getting me through a truly difficult but gratifying week that proved to me that the changes Ive been striving and sacrificing for is worth it. And of course it would be remiss to not mention how great Weber State Debates hosting of both the Val Browning Round Robin and Mukai Invitational were. Thanks for some great great tournaments yall!
