Enders Game First off, I read the book and believe it was better than Hunger Games and maybe even Harry Potter, but I am a sci-fi nerd above any other genre, so advantage Enders Game. (In other words, you must read this story!) As always, the book is better than the movie. But this novel was comparable in size to the Hunger Games, so a very plausible fit for the big screen with just one motion picture, unlike the Harry Potter novels, which could have benefited from two movies for every one book. The visual effects were excellent, as well as the acting, which you can never get a bad performance out of Viola Davis, Sir Ben Kingsley, and legendary Harrison Ford/Han Solo/Indiana Jones. (I absolutely love Ford and his characters by the way, if you could not tell. -now cue Star Wars music...) The child actors also did a fantastic job. The movie script barely deviates from the plot of the novel, changing minor details only to afford a 2-hour window of screen time. The tactics and exercises employed in this tale are what makes this story so fun to read, as well as Orson Scott Card (the author) addressing the fact that we must never forget our humanity if war and violence is ever necessary in order to protect ourselves.
