Enduring in Faith James 1:2-6 NLT Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. It is often hard to relax and keep from being full of anxiety when life gets hard. But if I will use this as an opportunity to get even closer to God and trust Him my anxiety will dissipate and I will be able to ensure trials better and better. With so much change happening in my life, it has been hard at times not to feel beat down by the pressure. This has been painful. No pain no gain right? But also, know pain, know gain. If I did not have the Lord with me every step of the way, I would have withered away like a plant without water. There have been moments where the heat was on and this began to happen. When this happens we all need to go to the source of life for everlasting refreshing water. Lord renew my mind and heart today. Give me wisdom to handle all that comes my way today. Be with me every step of the way. Amen.
