Enemies operate by strategy; one of the strategies is persistent - TopicsExpress

Enemies operate by strategy; one of the strategies is persistent subtle appeal to your senses and emotions. If you are sensitive enough to decode it and strong enough to resist it, that strategy will fail. Two people cannot work or walk together unless there is agreement between them (Amos 3:3). Thus, it is difficult for enemies to gain illicit access into your life: marriage, finances, career, health and so on without your cooperation. The devil is fully aware that we are emotional creatures. He knows we get easily moved by whatever we hear, see, and feel repeatedly. He knows human mind responds to whatever it is constantly exposed to. However, this can only work if and only if you cooperate. For instance, Satan never forced Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. All he did was to make the fruit irresistibly appealing to her sight and hearing persistently. Unfortunately she cooperated! Not only that, Satan also appealed to Jesus emotion – His feeling of hunger by suggesting food. Fortunately, Jesus never cooperated so the attempt failed! Furthermore, after several persistent seductive words, seductive appearances and other non-verbal communication to appeal to Joseph’s sense of hearing, feelings and sight, Joseph refused to approve of such sinful affair. From the foregoing, you can see that everything is up to you. Satan goes no further than you allow him. He cannot force anything on you. Anybody can suggest anything, the onus to either say yes or no lies on you. Satan’s is to suggest but yours is to approve or disapprove. Your ability to resist or give in is subject to the quantity of God in you, the level of your knowledge, how disciplined you are and how strong your will power is. Rounding off this thought, I will submit to you that everything is in your hands. They are subject to your control. Your papproval is needed for the enemy to defeat you. God bless you!. Happy Sunday!
