Energies ARE contagious! I am so sensitive to this. If someone walks into the studio with a negative or depressed energy I feel it instantly. I have to repel it in order to not absorb it and pass it on to my clients. It effects everyones experience when there is negative energy in our space. Some ways I find to work through it include recognizing it and mentally focusing on positive gratitude thinking or offering up something to break the energy like water with peppermint oil or just a smile!
