Energy is convertible. Serbian scientist Nikola Tesla established the basis for our modern society through his invention of 100% clean AC (alternating current) electric power transmission, which allows the perfectly safe transfer of energy around the globe at the fastest possible rate (the speed of light) with zero risk of spills or leaks. Why imbeciles are allowed to even discuss pipelines is beyond logical reason. If the Albertans are determined to dig, frack, drill, or in any other way extract petroleum/gas/tar products from their ground, thats their business (constitutionally we cant stop them). But federal law should require them to convert it (using 95%+ top-efficiency fossil-fuel electric generators with state-of-the-art anti-pollution filters) into electricity LOCALLY at the drilling/fracking/tar extraction site IN ALBERTA to be transferred around the planet through the existing hi-tension AC power transmission systems (already in place for decades) while expanding transmission line capacity as needed. The same lines will later be used to transfer wind/solar/geothermal/and other alternative-energy derived electricity to replace the fossil fuels as they are expended. Then everyone would be happy, except for the robber-baron-capitalists threatening the environment with an outrageously expensive pipeline that will just need to be ripped up, removed and cleaned up as soon as the fossil fuels run out. Is there any argument against AC transmission established and proven a century ago by Tesla when our grandparents were just children? Stop the pipelines DEAD.
