Engaging with Allah can be done in many ways; by giving compulsory and voluntary charity, reciting the Qur’an, teaching the Deen, reading about the Deen, practicing the Sunnah, helping a neighbour, striving in the service of your parents for Allah’s sake, visiting a sick or elderly person, taking a ritual bath (Ghus’l), restraining the tongue from an angry word, or removing danger or harm from the path of a Muslim. We should strive to perform at least one task per day (besides that which is compulsory) solely to please Allah.
