Engel, the senior Democratic member on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, hailed today’s overwhelming passage by the House, 402-7, of H.Res. 499, which condemns the recent violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by Russia. “I applaud the House’s passage of H. Res. 499, a bipartisan resolution introduced by Chairman Royce and myself, condemning Russia’s violation of Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity. “President Putin has violated international law and his country’s commitments to Ukraine, and his act of aggression risks inciting further violence and armed conflict between peoples and families.
