Engineer Segun Oni was a very lucky beneficiary of PDPs large heartedness to become governor of Ekiti! When he was governor in Ekiti, he forgot his friends, associates and got carried away by euphoria of office. That was why his enemies found it easy to boot him out of power. He was just lucky that he was not killed by then ACN people while he was governor. PDP rewarded him all along with good positions, recognition et al thereafter. His defection to APC must have been as a result of his arrogance and overconfidence thinking he is better than Fayose and everybody. Considering his pedigree in PDP politics, he should have resolved his disagreements with Fayose or remain a quiet PDP member. A humble and wise person in his shoes would have preferred to stay out of politics for now or stay on the sidelines since him and Fayose are not the best of friends. His sojourn in APC has started on a VERY DISASTROUS NOTE. His political future is dicey because all his close friends can NEVER trust him again..He would not ask for or deserve the sympathy of anyone...
