[English]: Another USAID Anti-Cuba Covert Plan is Exposed HAVANA, Dec 11 (ACN)—The US Agency for International Development, USAID, tried to infiltrate the Cuban Hip-Hop movement as part of a covert project to destabilize the country, according to an investigation by the Associated Press. According to documents obtained by AP, the USAID hired a group of rappers to raise a youth movement against the Cuban government. The covert plan was implemented during more than two years with the aim of using Cuban musicians to set up a network that would push a social change on the island, PL news agency reported on Thursday. The Huffington Post website published a chronology of the USAID-led covert actions against Cuba, which explains in details the activities of the so-called musical promoter Rajko Bozic, a Serb national, who arrived in Cuba with instructions to involve in the covert Hip Hop program Cuban rappers like the Los Aldeanos duet and put an opposition movement on wheels. The publication also explains about the creation in Panama of the Salida Company in March 2009, a false screen for Creative Associates International based in Washington. The AP research says that in August of 2009 Creative Associates hosted a meeting in San Jose, Costa Rica, to use the Concert for Peace music concert that Colombian Juanes organized in Havana in order to boost Los Aldeanos and their rebellious discourse. Coincidentally, on December 3, 2009, USAID contractor Alan Gross was arrested in Havana for having illegally brought to Cuba satellite phones and computing equipment without the appropriate permits. The USAID Hip Hop covert operation ran along other two programs also sponsored by the US agency, which were later exposed by AP, they included the Zunzuneo or Cuban twitter and a project to bring Latin Americans to Cuba to destabilize the Cuban youth through discontent and criticism of the government.
