English and Español Watch, Pray, and Wait for the Lord’s Return Jesus sat with his disciples on the Mount of Olives teaching about future events. He warned that many false prophets would claim to speak for God and even perform miracles. But the source of those miracles would be Satan, not God. One day Jesus would appear suddenly with his angels and they would gather God’s people. Not even the angels, who are close to God, know when this will take place. This tells us that the knowledge of angels is limited. They depend on God to tell them what they need to know. They cannot read the mind of God nor are they in any way divine. The angels wait expectantly for the great Day of the Lord and so should we. Jesus said, “What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’” (Mark 13) We serve a wonderful, faithful God who redeems the damage done by evil. One day he will make all things new. Call on his name today.
