English of Hadramout Tribes Confederacy statement: Military Forces Attacked HTC Checkpoint on the Sah-Seiyun (ساه – سيئون) Road. In a dangerous escalation, influential military forces deployed a military vehicle with fully armed soldiers on board this morning (30th of August, 2014) to attack a HTC checkpoint located in Al-Rudud Hadabat Al Ghusun area (الردود حدبة الغصن) on the main road linking Sah district (ساه) with Seiyun city ( سيئون). As soon as the military vehicle approached the HTC checkpoint, the soldiers immediately opened fire on the HTC checkpoint which had three HTC guards whom responded with gunfire as self-defense. Up to this moment, we do not know the destiny of the three HTC guards, and their own two motorcycles have been looted. Upon withdrawing, the soldiers also kidnapped a young man named Mahdi Salim Said Al-Sharkhi (مهدي سالم سعيد الشرخي) who was inside a grocery store at the Al Rudud area (الردود) junction which is located far from the clashing site. We in the Hadramout Tribal Confederacy (HTC) hold the authorities and the military forces responsible for this incident and any consequences may result of it. We hold the authorities and the military forces responsible for the disappearance of our sons, and we demand a quick reveal of their status as well as their immediate release and we warn them of causing any harm to them.
