Engr O is the governors in-law. Ever since the governor was sworn in, has been asking him for government contract but the governor kept ignoring him. One day when Engr O and his wife became broke, they approached the governor again, telling him their predicament. After hearing them, the governor asked his P.A to go to his room and bring out two cartons of milk. The P.A obeyed his Boss and gave the two cartons of milk to Engr O, who asked his Driver to put it in their booth. Engr O and his wife were so disappointed in the Governor, as he blames his wife for having a useless brother who gave them two cartons of milk instead of something better,...I cant believe your brother can be so callous! What does he want me to do with two cartons of milk! He said to his wife. When they got home, he was so angry he called his Driver telling him to take one carton to his family. Its true his wife said, just put the remaining one in the store, I know you cant carry both home...she turns to her husband and said, we should have known my brother is so heartless giving us milk instead of money or contract she hissed as the driver takes one of the cartons of milk into the store and took the remaining one home. Few days later, the driver told Engr O that he was traveling to the village to bury his father and does not know when he will be returning. He quit his job. Three months later, Engr Os wife was serving her family breakfast. She noticed that the milk at home is finished. Quickly, she remembers the milk her brother had given them and says to her daughter go into the store and open the carton of milk my brother gave us, bring one from it and put some in the cupboard. Her daughter did as she was told, she entered into the store, located the carton, opened it and found bundles of the highest denomination of money in circulation at that time. She brought it out to her mother saying, Mummy! Its money thats in the carton not milk. Engr Os wife was shocked, she dropped the spoon in her hand and called her husband who was in the bedroom. When Engr O saw it, he called his in-law through the land line, Bro, so it was not milk that was in the carton you gave us? He shouted on the phone. Of course its not milk his in-law answered in shock, how can I give you milk when you said your were broke! Engr O could not say anything, he just dropped the call and shouted his drivers name. They went to look for the driver at his supposed address, but were told he moved out about three months ago! Friends, do you know that a lot of us are like Engr O and his wife? We ask God for things, sometimes he takes his time to give us, yes. But after giving us, without really getting to embrace it, we appraise it from its outer layer, not knowing exactly what treasures are embedded inside a parcel wrapped with an unattractive pack. The Engr lost half of what he was given, because he belittled the gift, he did not even check to see what was inside, just because it was packed with a carton of milk! May we not loose Gods disguised blessing for us in Jesus name. Amen!
