These are what our great fathers bequeathed to us. I salute Chief Obafemi Awolowo, I salute Chief Bola Ige, and I salute Chief Kolapo Ishola. From Oyo to Oke Ogun to Ibarapa to Ogbomoso, to Ibadan, we have toiled as one to build a state we should be proud of. However, I am pained that the current rulers have eroded these constant trademarks of Oyo State. We owe our children and our children’s children the duty to reverse the rot in education, (a situation where Oyo State emerged 24th out of 36 states & FCT in the 2014 published WAEC result is unacceptable).We want to chart a new future.A future of hope and brightness.A future of joy, a future of prosperity -ESMAnd the time for a positive change is now! (Not just any CHANGE! That we were promised but remained a mirage in the past three years).... Our primary and secondary schools are in danger of total collapse. I promise to reverse the downward trend in education in Oyo State. Challenges in our education include poor training, lack of modern teaching methods, poor motivation and reduced drive for excellence by students. I will solve this through a triple synergistic strategy focusing on the teachers, pupils and parents. The first thing I will do is to invest in training our teachers. I will develop a program called train the trainers (TTT) through world-class courses.... We will partner with business schools and universities in Oyo state to build leadership capabilities of our children.Ladies and gentlemen, great people of Oyo state, I dont know what else to add to the above words of a great servant-leader, I dont know how else to elaborate on the statement of a visionary, committed to true transformation and prosperous posterity, than to say; please give this man a chance. He knows where hes going and this is the road map to the great future we desire for our education in Oyo state. He has declared a state of emergency on education and rescue mission before this present government turn Oyo state to education-disadvantaged state through nonchalance.
