Enjoyed a full late-afternoon & early evening of shooting...first, in a return to the Summer Flower Show at the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory at Como Park (this ends on the 5th, and then they transition to the Fall show), and at N. St. Pauls History Cruze summer finale. Here are a trio of favorites from the Como shoot: Sole Sentry (in the outdoor pool), Location, Location, Location (in the sunken garden), and Evening Snack (in the outdoor garden just across the street & overlooking the pond). This Monarch was one of two who were working - along with a couple dozen bumblebees - a very rich section of oranges, reds, purples & yellows. I snapped almost non-stop, watched, and wished...for about twenty minutes in hopes of getting them both into a single frame capture, but it wasnt to be; at one point, they both rose up into the air, circled the garden, flitted round, over and under one another, seeming to negotiate who would land on which flower next. What a sight to behold!
