Enjoyed an excellent session at Kingston University this morning talking about what it is like to do author publicity - how one prepares, how one feels, does it do any good, how does it affect the writing process. We also discussed how a book begins... is the character? Is it an idea? The vexed subject of title was raised. The moderator ran a straw poll on the title for my next one (which is still under review) between A Thousand Little Lies and The Life That I Have. Guess which won got the most votes?
