Enjoying life brings us a contented heart allowing love to flow smoothly and stronger towards others. When I am not enjoying life, I can find my fleshly side becoming an old grouch and allowing everything and anything to irritate me. This is why I am told to empty my soul out each day through prayer. I am not to be conformed to this world, but I am to be transformed my the renewing my mind in the Spirit of God each day to show what is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God. If I make it all about myself I will never be satisfied; however, if I make life about serving Christ and others I don’t look at my own selfishness. Yes, we are all a little selfish at times feeling sorry for ourselves and this really happens when we have not been praying. A good ole pity party is never the answer to happiness. We sure don’t have to look far to see some in less fortunate condition than we are. I learned long ago to make things about Jesus and everything else will appear much brighter. When I get the oh whoa is me blues, I cannot see anything except myself and how abused this life has made me feel. It is never healthy to allow myself to concentrate on my life alone. That is not fair to my family, friends, or colleagues for I am treating them the way I feel. I could make them feel like saying, “well what have I done to him, all I have ever done is my best.” This life should never be just about ourselves. We don’t live this life without touching other people and the impression we leave them will gauge whether they become a friend or not. Start each day with prayer dying out to flesh and your day will become more about Christ and others than about yourself. If I am not satisfied with myself I should search out my own heart. Lord create in me a new heart this day that will minister to others and give you deserving glory. Help me to have a attitude of heavenly praise and forget about my exposed feelings of the flesh. If you are feeling bad about the way the world is treating you go help someone else and it will take your mind off of the things that are bothering you.. We all need each other and the only reason we would be alone is because we are not reaching out to others. Reach out to God this day. I write because I because I want to help people feel better about themselves and to show them serving God is a good thing. One thing we can all testify to is life has times that are hard to get through and every encouraging word gives us a little more strength to battle whatever we face around each corner of life.
