Enjoying the spectacular sunset and an authentic Omani Bedouin camping experience at Desert Retreat Camp, surrounded by the highest sand dunes at the Sharqiya Sands (formerly known as Wahiba Sands), a unique region of desert in Oman. All tents are made of natural goat hair and at night you can gaze at starry sky while sitting next to a cozy bonfire. This region was named for the Bani Wahiba tribe. The desert has been of scientific interest since a 1986 expedition by the Royal Geographical Society documented the diversity of the terrain, the flora and fauna.
