***Enka Middle School Parents - PLEASE READ!*** In honor of the first day of school this Wednesday, Id like to remind yall of the EMS morning drop-off routine. Per the EMS 2014/15 student handbook: MORNING DROP-OFF We have two student drop-off areas, the large lot with the awning and the front of the building. IF YOU USE THE FRONT LOT, PLEASE EXIT THROUGH THE FRONT GATE AND NOT THROUGH THE BUS PARKING LOT UNTIL AFTER 7:15. Please PULL AS FAR FORWARD AS POSSIBLE to facilitate student drop-off. People, this means that you DO NOT stop to let your little dumpling out right at the front door! You pull your vehicle all the way up to the big yellow sign that plainly says Pull all the way forward! I know you think your child is special, but theyre not. Little Jenny/Johnny can walk the additional 20 just like everyone else. Also, after youve dropped little Jenny/Johnny off, you must exit through the main entrance until after 7:15. When you are exiting through the main entrance, PAY ATTENTION to the NCDOT sign next to the stop sign that says NO LEFT TURN. DO NOT hold up everyone behind you by trying to turn left at the EMS main entrance. Its silly to try to cross on-coming traffic instead of just following the law and turning right. You can easily turn right - down Asbury Rd to Liberty Rd - and youll end up at Taylor Fast Lube on 19/23. If you insist on making an illegal right turn, youll just cause a traffic jam, which has a domino effect, backing up the entire drop-off line onto Asbury Road. Dont be stupid... My blood pressure thanks you in advance.
