Enoch, under His wings 39:3 And in those days a cloud snatched me up and a whirlwinds carried me off from the earth, and set me down at the ultimate end of the heavens. (Gen.5:24, Heb.11:5) 39:4 And there I saw another vision, the dwelling-places of the holy, (John.14:2) and the resting-places of the righteous. (John.14:3, 2cor.5:1) 39:5 And my eyes saw their dwelling places with His righteous (holy) angels, And their resting-places with the holy ones. And they petitioned and interceded and prayed for the children of men, and righteousness flowed before them as water, and mercy like dew upon the earth: Thus it is amongst them for ever and ever. 39:6 And in that place (in those days) my eyes saw the Elect One of righteousness and of faith, (Isaiah.42:1) and I saw his dwelling place underneath the wings of the Lord of Spirits. (Psalm.36:7, 57:1) And righteousness shall prevail in his days, and the righteous and elect shall be a countless number before Him forever and ever. (Ezek.37:25, Rev.22, 23) 39:7 And all the righteous and the elect before Him shall be strong (illuminated) as fiery lights, and their mouths will be full of blessings, and their lips will praise, honor and extol the name of the Lord of Spirits, And righteousness before Him will never fail (will have no end), and uprightness will never fail (cease) before Him. 39:8 There under His wings I desired to dwell, and my spirit (soul) longed for that dwelling place: And from there has been my portion (already my potion is there), for so has it been established concerning me before the Lord of Spirits. 39:9 In those days I praised and glorified and prayed to the name of the Lord of Spirits with blessings and praises, because He has destined me for blessing and glory according to the good pleasure of the Lord of Spirits. (Luke.12:32, Eph.1:9) 39:10 For a long time my eyes contemplated that place under His wing, and I blessed Him and praised Him, saying: Blessed is He, and may He be blessed from the beginning and for evermore. And before Him there is no ending. He knows before the world was created what is forever and what will be from generation unto generation. 39:12 Those who sleep not (do not slumber) bless you: they stand before your glory and bless, praise, and extol, saying: "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of Spirits: He fills the earth with spirits."(His spirits fill the earth) 39:13 And here my eyes saw all those others who do not sleep: But they stand before Him and bless and say: Blessed be you, and blessed be the name of the Lord for ever and ever. And then my face was changed; until I could no longer see (until I could no longer withstand the sight). Chapter 40 40:1 And after that I looked and I saw thousands (millions) of thousands (millions) and ten thousand (millions) times ten thousand myriads, I saw a multitude beyond number and reckoning (innumerable and uncountable multitudes), who stood (stand) before the Glory of the Lord of Spirits. (Rev.7:9) 40:2 And I saw them standing on the four sides (wings) of the Lord of Spirits, And I saw four others, different from those that do not sleep (slumber), and I learned their names: for the angel that went with me made known to me their names, and showed me every hidden and secret things. 40:3 And I heard the voices of those four others as they magnified and uttered praises before the Lord of Glory. 40:4 The first voice blesses the Name of the Lord of Spirits forever and ever. 40:5 And the second voice I heard blessing the Elect One and the elect ones who suffer on account of the Lord of Spirits. (Rev.20:4, Matt.5:10, Luke.6:22) 40:6 And the third voice I heard praying and interceding for all those who dwell on the earth and supplicating in the Name of the Lord of Spirits 40:7 And I heard the fourth voice fending off the Satans (impious angels) and forbidding them to come before the Lord of Spirits so as to accuse them who dwell on the earth. 40:8 After that I asked the angel of peace who went with me, who showed me everything that is hidden: Who are these four presences which I have seen and whose words I have heard and written down? 40:9 And he said to me: This first is Michael, the merciful and long-suffering: (Dan.12:1, Jude.1:9, Rev.12:7) and the second, who is set over all the diseases and all the wounds of the children of men, is Raphael: and the third, who is set over all the powers (exercise of strength), is Gabriel: and the fourth, who is set over all actions of the repentance unto the hope of those who inherit eternal life, is named Phanuel. 40:10 And these are the four angels of the Lord of Spirits and the four voices I heard in those days. 41:1 And after that I saw all the secrets of (in) the heavens, and how the kingdom is divided, and how the actions of men are weighed in the balance. (Proverbs.16:11) 41:2 And there I saw the dwelling places of the sinners, and I saw the mansions of the elect and the mansions of the holy ones, and my eyes saw there all the sinners being driven from there, which have denied the name of the Lord of Spirits, and were being dragged off: and they could not abide because of the punishment which proceeds from the Lord of Spirits.
