Enough is Enough Public Protest Demonstration The Island Police - TopicsExpress

Enough is Enough Public Protest Demonstration The Island Police have been liaising closely with the organisers of this event to facilitate a lawful public demonstration, and we would reiterate their stance that this is designed to be a peaceful protest. The North Beach car park has been allocated for this purpose. Motorists who usually leave their vehicles parked on the North Beach car park on Sunday afternoons, are advised to find alternative parking this Sunday (16th), due to the above planned public demonstration scheduled to take place between 2pm and 4pm that day. It is expected that people will start to congregate from 1pm. Public parking will be suspended on North Beach from midday until 5pm. Vehicles not moved by midday will be removed by the Police and all costs incurred passed onto the registered owner. Disabled parking will be provided in the last 6 spaces of the port permit area (west end) alongside the raised walkway on St Julians Pier. Those attending the demonstration are asked to use Salerie car park and other town parking areas other than North Beach, so that we can keep the area clear for the expected large numbers of people attending the event.
