Enron: We can not forget Enron. During the events of discrepancy, the loophole that made it possible was looked at as opportunities instead of looking at the definition of the law and what it was trying to promote in its message. Forgetting ethics and chasing opportunities started a mess for this country. The banks began to think this way and many people are homeless or in jail from the debts and hardships incurred. Today the ACLU is helping a lady fight back. They are using eminent domain as there tool. The robin hood effect of eminent domain. Claiming this for the home owner would be an opportunity, but what cost to the community and the population? What other opportunities would be explored? I believe this is one downward slope that should be stopped. Our government should allow the banks to wash away the depreciated value of the home to give more affordability to the owner and less loss taken by the banks. The overall community would do better without being slick and unethical to do good. Just my thought on the subject.
