Entergy is advising people in the Robert area of possible power outages Wednesday due to system maintenance. Entergy crews will be out in force Wednesday to complete the last phase of a project to improve service reliability for Robert area customers. Weather permitting, more than 100 Entergy linemen and up to 50 bucket trucks from around the state will be involved in the project to convert the Robert area to a higher distribution voltage. The work will improve service reliability for more than 250 Entergy customers as well as allow for future growth in the surrounding area. The project involves replacing 102 transformers along Highway 445 in Robert. Working in coordination with State Police and state transportation officials, crews are scheduled to begin work on the project at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Affected customers in the area may experience short outages necessary to allow crews to work safely and efficiently. Entergy will place calls to those customers in advance to notify them of the temporary outages. While the project is currently scheduled to be completed on Thursday, work could be delayed if winter storms require crews to respond to outages in other parts of the state.
