Entertainment for your day. Well, at least entertaining for all of those coaches out there who love running and cringe when their clients do it a little too much. A long time client of mine forwarded me an email that was a registration for a womens half marathon and said. You would be so proud of me… I thought about this for about 10 seconds and then said ….. Hell no! Lifting heavy stuff is more fun. Wed agreed that her running days were behind her (due to hips, back, etc. etc) and to place more focus on her strength training and conditioning work. My reply to her initially: BARF! Her reply back: I’ll take that to mean no running. I run when I feel like I ate to much …. It’s a guilt thing. My hips and lower back are so sore after this weekend that I am pretty sure I am hanging up my running sneakers for a while. I feel like you have a voodoo doll and are sticking pins in my hips to get me to realize running $ucks. :-O Im glad to see my words and coaching are having an impact!
