Entrance into Mill Creek for the last few days without remediation - TopicsExpress

Entrance into Mill Creek for the last few days without remediation of any kind. If you think that stinks, imagine how bad it will be if your home is near a wastewater treatment plant. Ask the folks who live behind Johnnys how the village governments decision to allow live outdoor music destroyed their property values. No official will definitively state where the stench plant is going for a reason: so that the uncertain target doesnt compromise votes or fuel speculation on lower property values, i.e. less is more. Salados future is NOW, but dont be fooled into thinking it that by bilking the taxpayers and sending Main Street poop to an undisclosed location, our prosperity will be secured. It wont and there are ALWAYS unintended consequences in any government decision. OUR FUTURE will ONLY be secured if we have strong transparent leadership, AND a well-managed realistic plan to 1) maintain our roads (if all this obsessive government sewer talk were asphalt, wed have repaved the whole village by now), 2) grow our village - including a sewer - according to the aspirations of the many rather than the few & the greedy, 4) establish fair taxes & sound policies, ordinances, codes and enforcement, and 5) live within our means - which our hungry government has been unable to do for the last couple years. Its up to the people, not the government, to rise up & keep our taxes LOW and Salado Beautiful! The government solution to the problem is usually as bad as the problem - Milton Friedman
