Entry #2 - TOJO-TEI HOUSE - 第二弾 戸定邸（とじょうてい） 日本語は下段にござんす(^。^)y-.。o○ - Tojo-tei House and its Garden -（日本語は下段参照） In Matsudo City, Chiba Pref., there is Tojo-tei House built and resided by Lord TOKUGAWA Akitake, a brother of the last Shogun TOKUGAWA Yoshinobu. The House was built in 1884 after the design of the lords residences in the Tokugawa Period and the mode in the early Meiji Period. The House was registered as an important cultural property of the nation in 2006. (Reference: Invitation to TOJO, the official brochure of the House). HP (in Japanese): city.matsudo.chiba.jp/tojo/ You MUST visit this an early and good example blending of Japanese and Western elements in the Meiji Period. Its about 30 plus mins from Ueno Station. Access: 10 mins on foot from Matsudo Station on Joban Line. This place is closed on Mondays (if a Monday happens to be a holiday, the following Tuesday will be closed instead). Also closed are days from Dec 28th to Jan 4th each year. 最後の水戸藩主であった徳川昭武の屋敷。1884年(明治17年)建設、木造平屋一部2階建。戸定邸は、 1986年付属庭園と共に、千葉県指定名勝になり、2006年7月5日に歴史的価値が高いことが認められ、建物8棟が国指定の重要文化財となりました。ま た2007年2月16日には戸定邸が建っている戸定ケ丘歴史公園が「日本の歴史公園100選」の一つに選ばれ、2008年11月20日には、「千葉遺産 100選」の一つに選ばれました。 【戸定歴史館HP抜粋：city.matsudo.chiba.jp/tojo/】。。。とにかく美しい！ 資料館には徳川昭武と彼の兄であり、最後の江戸幕府徳川将軍である徳川慶喜が仲良くカメラで風景撮影をしている姿が写真収められていました。江戸時代を終わらせた彼らは安らぎを手にできたようでした。 ※戸定邸で茶道をして参りました。表千家教授の木村先生のお弟子さん（小学3年生）から御指南いただきました(゜.゜) ※開館時間：9時30分から17時00分まで(入館は16時30分まで) ※休館日：月曜日(祝日の場合にはその翌日)、年末年始(12月28日から1月4日まで) ・松戸駅東口下車徒歩約10分
