Envelopes. Is there anything more disgusting than licking envelopes to seal them up? Well, yes ,of course there is - but - when it comes to things that all of us have to do (like paying bills via the old fashioned Postal Service), licking an envelope is, to me, downright gross. I do not lick envelopes. I use Scotch tape. You would think that everyone would be doing the same thing. Why would anyone, of their own volition, experience the yuck associated with exposing taste buds to envelope glue? Youd think Scotch (3M, I believe) would encourage the usage of its product for this purpose - I mean, wrapping gifts goes without saying. Sales could be tremendous! Scotch Tape has many uses: wrapping gifts, closing up pretzel bags, fixing a torn sheet of paper - I even used it once to hold together a towel rack/bar in my bathroom - it worked! Im sure that hundreds of more uses exist - they must. George Costanza (from Seinfeld) could be a happily (well, miserably) married man today - had his bride to be simply used Scotch tape - instead of the traditional method. Licking all of those envelopes was a bad idea. Very low cost - exceptional benefits.
