Environment Canada has expanded its weather WATCHES right across southern Alberta and now added a WARNING that extends a bit further north to Highway 16: "Rainfall warning for Nordegg region and Forestry Trunk Road and Highway 734: Heavy rainfall beginning Wednesday. Thunderstorms are expected to develop late this afternoon over much of Southern Alberta or move into the area from Montana. Some of these thunderstorms will likely produce severe weather. There is an isolated chance of a tornado late this afternoon or evening, therefore, tornado watches may be issued later today. A low pressure system is expected to bring significant rainfall amounts to parts of Western Alberta beginning Wednesday morning. Total amounts up to 100 millimetres are likely by Thursday evening, however, some areas may see up to 150 millimetres by the end of the event."
