As part of Environmental Services, you will be responsible for the provision of cleaning, catering, laundry/linen, and portering services across the organisation, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital buildings. You will provide a cleaning service according to industry standards ensuring staff, patients, residents and visitors safety is maintained in the process. Your duties will predominantly involve assisting with food preparation and catering services, assisting with the processing of laundry and linen services, as well as assisting in portering duties as required. Key to appointment to this role is sound knowledge of cleaning practices, food safety practices and laundry standards. With the demonstrated ability to follow policy and procedures, and carry out work routines with limited direct supervision, you will bring the ability to work independently and within set timeframes. Able to work collaboratively as a member of a work team with the ability to communicate effectively in various settings, you will be friendly and professional at all times with a strong work ethic. Working knowledge of occupational health and safety responsibilities will also contribute to your success in this role.
