Ephesians 07/28/ 2014 Chapter 5: 7-10 Therefore, do not become their partners. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light for the fruit of the light results in all goodness, righteousness, and truth discerning what is pleasing to the Lord. --- I feel that if many would actually get to know whats in their bible and become familiar with what the scriptures actually say that many wouldnt be in the denominations as they are! Most likely many people wouldnt become partners or have membership in certain churches if they stopped listening to man and just really got to know Gods word and put the church doctrines aside and just excepted the word of God for what it says! Its true we was once in darkness, but now we have excepted the Lord into our lives and the Holy Spirit has come into us to give us discernment. The gift of discernment only grows within us as we develop in the word of God. As we might receive false doctrine then our discernment I feel is stunted and wont grow or develop properly. Walking as children Of God as well as in the light depends on how much of pure doctrine you actually have been receiving. The purer of doctrine could mean the brighter your light will shine! Mans made up doctrine can snuff or dim a Christians light because there is a water mixture in it. The pure word of God causes healing, righteousness, growth, joy, peace, etc. By the word of God being mixed with water causes carnality to always abound and victory to overcome sin is diminished greatly. It also causes less joy and peace and most likely more trials and valleys to walk in. To produce the correct the amount of spiritual fruit is to properly discern what is pleasing to the Lord. If we are in a church that doesnt teach correctly then your discernment will be out of alignment so to say as to know what really pleases the Lord. You have always heard from our parents of how we have to learn to be responsible, well God wants us to be just that so that we can grow properly. Its our responsibility to purposely put ourselves in a church that will grow us properly. Its your responsibility to read the word and know whats right or wrong!
