Ephesians 2.8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:it is the gift of God: Friends, God does everything that is necessary for our sin to be forgiven, and then He freely extends that forgiveness to us. And, as if the fact that only God incurred the full cost was not enough, the price being the life of His Son, He then asks nothing of us save to trust Him for this forgiveness. God did not ask us to construct tabernacles and offer the blood of goats, to whip ourselves in penance until we draw blood or to do anything other than to simply trust. This Advent let us dwell on understanding as best we are able this wonderful gift of God that is far beyond anything we deserve from Him. God Bless.
