Ephesians 3:17-19 And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. ~~ This prayer shows me that we cannot fully experience Gods in isolation. We must reach out to All the saints. Some knowledge of God cannot be apprehended individually. I know this sounds a bit idealistic which is why the next verse is so important. It is a shame that it is so often misquoted and misapplied. Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. ~~It may well be idealistic that Gods people can come together and transcend the theological and ecclesiastical walls that divide us. But that is what Paul was praying for here, and he did not look to the organizational prowess of the saints to make it happen. He looked to God who could do this and more. The coming together of the people of God is so much more important than the material blessings this verse is normally focused upon.
