Ephesians 4:26 - 27 “’In your anger do not sin’: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” Forgive me, Lord, for all the times I have not followed this guideline that you established for me. Angry nights lead to restless nights, and I have had plenty of those. Not only is your advice here good for my relationships, but it is good for my own soul. I do not want to be bitter or hold onto grudges. What a miserable life that causes! But give me the strength to deal with my conflicts in a Christian manner: loving and kind, but firm and intentional. Grant me patience with those who do not abide by this method of conflict resolution. Protect me from those who would attempt to slander me out of anger. Let me represent you in all of my dealings. In your forgiving name, Amen.
